On this page, you will find directions to some of I.T.'s favorite programs, as well as a few other things that we find important.

The following two 'how-to's" are extremely important.  We teach all of our teachers who attend our sessions that MCSB will NEVER post anything that contains materials that are copyrighted, whether it be music or images.  The following sites and instructions will help you and your students find materials that are legal for use in projects.

Finding Copyright Free Images/Photos

There are two ways to do this.  We recommend http://www.pics4learning.com as valuable web resource for locating images in a searchable database.  it is easy and free to use.

Sometimes, that site does not have the images you need, and while we do not suggest turning students loose on Google, there is a way to do a safe search for copyright free images.  The instructions will direct you on how to complete a search for usable images.

Music plays a very important part of any content trailer/video.  In fact, it is often the emotional appeal of the music that gets the message across more than the words or images.  Once again, we will not use music that is copyrighted.  The site we recommend is Incompetech, and these instructions will tell you how to do a search for music that can be used anywhere, royalty-free.
