Welcome to English 7! In accordance with New Jersey State Standards, we will be focusing on vocabulary development, reading comprehension, literary analysis, use of the writing process, and writing applications. In order to meet these goals, we will be reading a number of novels and short and long nonfiction and fiction stories; additionally, we will use the board-approved textbooks and other materials.

Academic Honesty: Academic honesty is a key component of both my classroom and the school. Cheating or plagiarism will not be tolerated. If you are suspected of or found cheating or plagiarizing on any piece of work, you will receive an automatic zero on that assignment and you will be given a referral to the Assistant Principal.
Grade Breakdown: Students can revisit assignments to improve their understanding of all concepts.
Assessments= 90% and 10%=classwork/homework
