Multiplication Facts

By the end of 3rd grade, your child should be extremely fluent in his/her multiplication facts. It is absolutely crucial that these are put to memory by the end of 3rd grade.  

Please practice a little each day with your child.  He/she should no longer be counting on fingers or using tally marks.  There is simply no way around it, they have to be memorized.  Kids need this essential skill as a foundation to add upon.  

On my page, you'll find a few different ways to practice.  We will be using timed tests to make sure students are progressing with their facts.  All kids have different abilities, so they will be working at their own pace.  When ready to quiz on a level, they will let me know.  Kids will earn a small prize for passing each level.  At the end of the year, students who have passed all their facts will earn an invitation to the multiplication party.
