Unit 6: Governments
Students will learn that governments of the past influenced the founders of our country. The government of the United States of America protects the rights of the people. Citizens have rights and responsibilities to their community, state, and country. Local governments provide community services. Community leaders help a government meets its needs. Laws are made, carried out, and enforced by the three branches of state government.
