Reading Response Rubric:
For grading Open Ended Questions a.k.a Short Constructed Responses

1pt   =  50%: Answer question asked correctly using title of the text and key words from the question.
2pts =  65%: In addition to above, Support response with a quote from the text using proper citation.
3pts =  85%: Support response with an additional example from the text or elaborate why quote is supportive of response.
4pts = 100%: Close response with a conclusion statement that connects the text to life or tells why response is important to the text.
