Don't just merely complete an assignment, show me YOUR BEST work !
Completion of all assignments is expected and all assignments are always accepted.
Camden City Public Schools grading policy is a MATHEMATICAL average of the following:
1. 20% Classwork and Participation (You get 20 daily points for the assignement you make all efforts to complete in class or take home and finish if you need more time)
20 points per Day = 100 points per Week
2. 20% Homework - 7-9 Weekly Assignments. Each homework has 4 parts do be completed 1 part per night and checked each day. All assignments will be put in your personally designed HOMEWORK BOOKLET, which will be an additional grade at the end of the marking period.
3. 20% Projects - You will get a grade each for completing 1-2 of the following fun and activities of your creation as assigned : poster, brochure, Power Point, interviews, video presentation.
4. 40% Tests and Quizzes - There will be quizzes and tests (5-9 per marking period ) that will reflect classwork and notes. Keeping an up-to-date notebook is help when there is an "open notebook" quiz of test. It is important that you keep a notebook that has all of the class notes and is also written in a way that is easy for you to go back and re-read and study from.
Makeup Work Procedure
If your Interim Report shows an unsatisfactory or failing grade you can make up the assignments under the following conditions:
1. Your Interim Report must be signed by your parent and returned to me with a working phone number.
2.If the telephone number is valid and I am able to make contact with your parent/guardian, you may submit all missing work on by the last week of October.
3. You must complete every assignment that is missing. NO partial work will be accepted. You must submit all of your missing work at one time in a packet or folder.
3. HIJACKING is a word I use to describe student behavior that does not allow a lesson to be conducted as planned. If you hijack a lesson by interrupting instruction, you will not be given makeup work for the lesson you interrupted. If you hijack the lesson on a regular basis your grade will be calculated based on the work you have already submitted.
