Social Sudies
THEME
Through the study of history we learn about our community, our families and ourselves. By learning how people have developed throughout history, we are better able to understand the causes of many modern events.
The study of history helps us to improve our world today and in the future. By studying history, we become better citizens and gain a greater understanding of the similarities and differences among the people of our local and global communities.
CLASS RULES
1. Be prepared (pen/pencil, notebook and chomebook)
2. Food and drinks are not allowed in class with the exception of water.
3. Listening devices and cell phones must be turned off and put away during class.
4. Please be respectful
5. Keep the room clean
GRADING POLICY
Quarter grades will be determined based on the following three areas
1) Assessments 70%
2) Class work and homework 15%
3) Class participation/performance 15%
The class participation grade will be a reflection of the student's attendance, attention in class, behavior, cooperation and willingness to work with others.

Students will need the following supplies for this course:
1) Notebook (preferably two-subject)
2) Chromebook
3) Pen /Pencil
