I.Course Description: Welcome to Biology. Biology is the study of life. In this class we will cover the following units:

Unit 1: The Science of Biology          Unit 6: Microorganisms 
2: Ecology                                          Unit 7: Plants

Unit 3: Cells                                       Unit 8: Invertebrates

Unit 4: Genetics                                 Unit 9: Chordates

Unit 5: Evolution                                Unit 10: The Human Body

II. Textbook: Biology by Prentice Hall

III. Materials Needed:

            Bring your own pens and pencils

            Binder with loose leaf paper: will need to be divide into into sections- Bell ringers & Notes

IV. Student Requirements:

1. Attend class regularly. There will be no make-ups without a feather form showing excused absence.
2. You must participate in everything that we do. It is part of your grade.
3. Give me 100% effort and a positive attitude and you will do great in my class and in future classes as well.
4. Follow all classroom rules and procedures.
