Absences and Makeup Policy
The TPSS make-up policy is followed. When a student returns from an absence, he/she must bring a valid excuse to make-up any work *(1st hour). The student will fill out an excuse form, attach it to the excuse, and place on the door. Forms are found in the tray on the table with the make-up material.
When a student is absent from school, the student must visit the make-up area for assignments, handouts, etc. This is the student’s responsibility. Do not ask me for assignments during class time. If you do not turn in missed assignments within three days of your excused absence, you will receive a zero. If a student misses a test, he/she must take the test after school. Make-up tests will not be given during class time. Students should see me to schedule a time to make up the test. Any missed test should be made up within 3 DAYS of the return to school. Make-up tests are given after school only. Make-up tests or essays are different from original tests or essays.
*If you are absent the day that a long-term assignment is due, it is expected that you still submit it on that due date unless there is an extreme emergency.
