This year we will:  Continue to utilize comprehension skills, literary devices, informational texts, and writing skills with our various Units (“Flowers for Algernon”, “The Tell Tale Heart”, “Sugar”, & “The Call of the Wild”) created by the LDOE/TPSS and explore the use of technology by completing activities in  Google Drive, Docs, Slides, & Forms along with OnCourse. 

 

You will see me teach my lessons by: Completing lessons posted in OnCourse, question/answer segments in the classroom, completion of the Reading Log for each unit (1 per 9 weeks)

 

Your daily grades most often come from:  Completing a lesson in your assignment bank and uploading the file that you created. Work is graded for correctness using a rubric that is posted with the assignment. 

 

Your test grades most often come from: OnCourse Assessments

 

Your weekly schedule is usually:  Daily lessons for the Unit will be assigned to you in your assignment bank. Daily Bell Work completed and turned in at the end of each 9 weeks.

 

School Supplies you will need for my class when school resumes:  Wired Headphones/ Earbuds, Binder with loose leaf & dividers, pens/pencils, Chromebook.
