We will be learning yoga as well as some new body weight exercises that will help strengthen their minds and bodies.  Your student will also be taking PE fitness tests this year.  This includes the Shuttle Run, Mile Run, and Sit Ups.

 

The 3 yoga poses we have been working on are Tree, Warrior 1, and Warrior 2.

At home Physical Education:

 

Do your warmup exercise routine: 

Touch toes (keep legs straight, look at feet, count to 5, repeat 10 times) 

Right hand to left foot- left to right (10x) 

Twist (10x) 

Arm stretches (5 count; 5x each arm) 

Squats (5 count, 5x) 

10 Panther jumping jacks 

 

Activity choices: Take a 20 minute family walk or bike ride 

Inside choices: You tube choices (Cosmic Kids Yoga, Kidz bop Dance along, Kids morning workout, Virtual PE – choose your lesson)
