I am a gradutate of Stockton University and William Paterson University with a Master of Arts Degree in Education, and a Bachelor or Arts degree in English, respectively. I am certified in English K-12 and Elementary School K-8. I have been teaching for 30 years, this being my 25st year at Pinelands Regional. I am a mother of three children; two boys, ages 31 and 28, and my daughter is 29. My grandson, LJ is 4 and a half old and my second grandson is 10 months; they are my pride and joy!
Aside from my passion for writing and literature, I enjoy music ~ especially Springsteen; students know me as the voice of "Rock and Roll History", because of my passion for music! I love sports ~ NFL football (I'm an avid Giants fan!) .
I pride myself in making my classroom a place where every student feels safe, celebrated, and respected, and I have zero tolerance for bullying. I will infuse social and emotional learning into my lessons almost on a daily basis, having a "mindful minute" to begin each lesson.
I hope to be able to teach your child the value of self-respect and the respect of all others around them here at our school.
I believe in giving every student a second chance...they just have to want to take the opportunity and run with it! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about your child. E-mail is the best way to reach me as I check it several times throughout my day; [email protected].
