Dear Parents,

 

Hello, and welcome to a new school year!  My name is Lacey Crowdus, and I am so excited to teach your child. I am in my 26th year of teaching.  I grew up in LaPlace, but I am now living in Paulina.  I have been married for 28 years.  I have 3 children.   My son is 23 years old, and my daughters are 20 and 13 years old.  

 I am anticipating it will be a wonderful year!!  This year your child will have 3 teachers. I have the privilege of teaching him/her math.  I am excited about the journey we will take together!!

 

Here are a few things to know:

• Curriculum-The math curriculum being used district-wide is Eureka Math² .  Your child will have 2 math workbooks:  a Learn book and an Apply book.  The Learn book will be used during class.  The Apply book will generally be used for homework.

 

• Homework- Homework will be assigned every Monday through Thursday.  Your child will be given time each day to copy all assignments.  Homework is to be completed at home and will be checked.  It will consist of practice (work that has been taught in class) and review (students should spend time at home studying and preparing for tests). 

 

• Communication/Class Dojo:  Class Dojo will be our primary source of communication.  Please be on the lookout for a Class Dojo invite. I can also be reached through email at [email protected] . 

 

• School Supplies:  Your child will need a math notebook and folder for math class.  You can see the entire school supply list on my teacher website.

 

• Grades:  Grades will be entered into JCAMPUS weekly.  Please check regularly to see  

           your child’s progress.  Please reach out if you are not currently set up on JCAMPUS,  and

           I will assist you.

 

• Teacher Website:  Please visit my teacher website weekly for important information.  The website will inform you of current events taking place within our classroom and school.  Here is how to access the website:
