SBLC (Student Building Level Committee) is a problem solving committe that we have that meets with teachers and parents to discuss any academic or behavior problems that a student may be experiencing throughout the school year.  Our goal is to collaborate and devise a plan for the student to help them achieve success in the classroom.  We, as a team, develop interventions for the teacher to implement in the classroom to help the student achieve their goals.  Once students have been referred to SBLC, their progress is monitored, and parents will be kept up-to-date with the progress of the student.  If the student fails to make progress with the interventions, the committee will meet again for that student and devise another plan.  After these steps are taken and the student is still having difficulties, then the committee would decide if the student needs to be referred to our 504 committee or our Pupil Appraisal team for further evaluation.

Our SBLC committee meets three days a weeks.  If your student is experiencing a problem of any kind, please reach out to the teacher as the first step for a conference.  If the problem continues, the teacher or parent may refer the student to the SBLC committee.  We at Levi want each student to be their best self and will work hard until that is accomplished.
