Welcome to 8th Grade Social Studies!
Welcome to an exciting year of exploring the history of the United States and Louisiana Gallopade Curriculum, we will journey through the late 1800s to the present, discovering the people, events and ideas that have shaped our nation and state. Together we'll investigate history through engaging lessons, primary sources, maps, political cartoons, historical documents, and meaningful class discussions.

- Westward expansion and immigration
- World War I and World II
- The Civil Rights Movement and the Modern Era
- Louisiana's unique history and its impact on our nation
