Meet Mrs. Acevedo

I have been working with children since I was a teenager.  I knew at the age of ten, I wanted to be a teacher.  I first started working at a private daycare as an aide and then ran their afternoon wrap around program.  While I got my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a Kindergarten aide for the Vineland Public Schools for four years.  After obtaining my degree, I began working for a private preschool provider in Vineland for three years before I was hired in Millville.  I taught at the Child Family Center for 14 years.  I am going into my 15th year of teaching for the Millville District.  I am excited to be returning to my roots as a Kindergarten teacher!  I have been on both sides of the fence (being an aide and a teacher) and through all my experiences, I have taken something from each and applied it into my own classroom.

My husband and I reside in Vineland with our three children and 3 dogs.  Some of my hobbies are decorating, working in the yard and collecting Rae Dunn pottery.  Our dogs Callie, Chloe and Nyla are our fur babies and they are spoiled rotten!  We just got a kitten as well to add to our family.  We love to go crabbing, fishing, watching football and spending time with our children.
