Objective	Students will find a complicated way to perform a simple task.
Directions	Watch video about Rube Goldberg and his inventions. The task is to shut a door. Students will find a complcated way and use everyday objects from around the house to shut a door. Please email me a video of the invention is action. I look forward to seeing the creativity and innovation.

Objective	Students will create an invention using recycled materials
Directions	Watch the video. Imagine & design invention. Gather supplies for the invention. Build the invention and test effectiveness.

Objectives	Students will design and build a tower.
Directions	Follow the steps of the engineering design process to build a tower.

Days: 03/16/20-03/27/20	STEAM	Resources
Objective	Students will learn the physics behind a catapult launching system.	Possible supplies at home might include: Craft sticks or pencils Rubber bands Tape Plastic spoon or bottle lid Small soft objects to launch like a pom pom or mini marshmallow
Directions	Watch the two video links provided. Gather resources at home. Construct a catapult system. Test the system. Report on the results.	Summarize videos in 3-5 sentences. How far did your small object fly? What did not work with your catapult design?
