All are members of the National Portfolio Day Association and are held in high regard requiring a portfolio review for admission. The admission process for these schools ranges from competitive to extremely competitive. Some schools (not in this listing) boast that portfolios are not required, " to give students who do not have access to good high school art programs a chance." This can sometimes be deceptive, as often a portfolio review is required to continue in the program. Those who are under prepared often drop out at this point. Additionally one needs to be aware that a less competitive environment may not prepare you well for a highly competitive field. |
