sListed in no particular order of importance -- although all are -- important, that is.
1. I'm a HUGE believer in the Golden Rule! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Put another way....what goes around, comes around! If you're in a great mood, so am I...and I'm usually the Queen of Good Moods (ask around).
2. Having said that, basic classroom discipline is maintained in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth in the student handbook. I realize everyone doesn't like everyone, but I expect basic courtesy and respect to all in my classroom. I will ALWAYS give you the same level of respect you give me!
3. Cheating is a HUGE no-no with me! The penalty is a ZERO for the assignment. In the event that the cheating/plagarism is associated with a student generated essay/booklet, and it is virtually impossible to discern who copied whose work, both/all student involved will receive a ZERO. Sounds kinda harsh? Easily avoidable...just DON'T DO IT!!!
4. Always check the monitor and board for daily questions & daily objectives. Bellringers will be answered on a separate sheet of paper in your notebook and will be collected every 7 to 10 days.
5. MAKE-UP WORK: Completing make-up work is YOUR responsibility! I will NOT greet you at the door the day you come back with a HUGE hug and a gift-wrapped box of work you missed. (Although I will be glad to see you!) If you're out for a while, call the guidence office and we'll send your work. When you get back, ASK if you missed anything and I'll provide it...it's that easy. Also, check this site!!! Again, the general policy of one day out/one day to make-up applies.
6. Having a problem? (Material, group work, individual student...or maybe even with me, though I can't IMAGINE why...) TALK TO ME....I can't help you if I don't even know there IS a problem. I'm a real good listener, and I usually have pretty decent advice, too.
