Review all letters and sounds learned

Letters and Sounds for the week :  Letter and Sound for the week   Z /z/ as in zipper and short a cvc, cvcc, and ccvc words ham, cast, slap

Read and spell words like:

                                                      zit, zip, zest, Zeb

                                                      ham, lab, cast, rant, slap, clam

 

Read the following sentences:

                                                      1. Zeb zips up the tent. 

                                                      2. I had a map.

                                                      3. Dad has a tan van.

 

We will practice identifying and reading irregular words and high frequency words:

Math-  Read and review the Math Family letter.  Review work we completed in class on solving word problems using addition or subtraction up to 5. Practice writing numbers from 1-20, orally counting from 1 to 60, and count by 10's to 100.

 

 

 

 

 

                                                

 

 

                         

 

 

 


 Practice blending sounds to read VC and CVC words.  See examples of VC and CVC words on the back of this sheet.  Choose 5-8 words each night for your child to practice reading.  Do not have them read the whole list in one sitting.
