Weekly Skills for 4/13--4/17
Please check your child's folder every night. All homework should be completed and returned.
Letters and Sounds for the week : “wh” as in when and “ph” as in graph
Read and spell words like:
when, whip, whack, what, where
graph, Phil, Steph, Ralph
We will continue to practice and assess identification and reading of CVC, irregular, and high frequency words individually and within sentences.
Math-
- Read and review the Math Family letter.
- Review work we completed in class on addition facts to 10 and teen numbers
- Review number pairs that make 10 ( 1+9, 9+1, 2+8, 8+2, 3+7, 7+3, 4+6, 6+4, 5+5, 10+0, and 0+10).
- Practice writing numbers from 1-20, orally counting from 1 to 100, and count by 10's to 100.
****Kindergarten End-of-Year DIBELS assessment is Thursday, April 16th Kindergarten students may wear school approved jeans and BCE spirit shirt on Thursday this week.
Practice blending sounds to read VC and CVC words. See examples of VC and CVC words on the back of this sheet. Choose 5-8 words each night for your child to practice reading. Do not have them read the whole list in one sitting.
