US President Booklet Instructions and Suggested Timeline
The US President project will focus on a former president. Students may use coloring pencils, embellishments, construction paper, scrapbook paper, cardstock, felt, colored buttons, twine, and paint. Please use glue dots and/or glue gun, with supervision, as needed.
The US President booklet, red, white, and blue yarn for binding, one portrait page, one state map, and the Table of Contents (US President Guide 2026), were given to all students, along with several websites for research (Links & Resources). The map needs to be either traced onto the page or copied onto a colored paper. Map section needs to include a map legend/key, state capital, city of birth, cities, mountains, lakes, and rivers, and a compass rose.

State Government and State Tourists' Sites due: Tuesday, February 17th
Booklets should be binded by the week of January 5th with yarn. Students need to do a beautiful and creative cover. Please use colored cardstock to frame colored image on cover. If you have a blue booklet, use a red frame; if you have a red booklet, use a blue frame. Edge scissors are optional. Embellishments may be added, if you wish.

Student's name should be in the lower right corner.
All US President booklets are due on Tuesday, February 17th. If students have the project completed earlier, they may bring to class. Thank you!
