The following are the supplies your child will need for the 20011-20012 school year. Please make sure that your child is prepared to come to school with all the supplies by the end of the first week of school. Please label all supplies with your child’s name and homeroom number. All supplies must be brought to class each day. We expect a great deal from our students…in conduct, work habits, and quality of work. Please note that additional supplies may be requested by the special area teachers (music, art, physical education, and Spanish).
- Backpack and/or rolling book bag (no small luggage will be allowed)
- One pack of 24, #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils)
- One pack of four dry/erase markers (black)
- Two erasable pens (blue)
- Two red pens (not erasable) for grading
- Colored pencils
- Crayons
- Glue
- Ruler 12”, inches and centimeters
- Five Marble composition notebooks
- Reading/Cursive

- Two plastic duo-tang folders (three prongs and two pockets)

- Paper (wide ruled, loose leaf paper)

- Small sharpener with cover
- White, wide ruled filler paper (plenty)
- Dictionary and Thesaurus (to be kept at home, unless specified otherwise)
- Rain poncho
- No Trapper Keeper, Spiral Notebooks, Binders, Liquid Glue, Liquid Paper, Rubber Bands, Tacks, Clipboards, Toys, and Cards…will be permitted in school.
In addition to the above materials, students will be required to obtain and independently read two books per grading period. Students will be assessed on the contents of each book and will receive a grade accordingly. The books may be borrowed from the teacher, purchased at local bookstores, via the Internet, and/or may be borrowed from the public library.
