WELCOME 2023!
Dear Parents:
I am Ms. Turnbough, your child’s school librarian, and I am delighted to have your child in my library. Students will begin checking out books and working on their Accelerated Reader goals by the end of the first weeks of school. I have high expectations for your child, and I will do all that I can to help your child achieve their goals.
You can help. Please ask your child about their library book(s) they checked out (grades 1-6). The theme for library this year is "Reading Rocks". Many exciting incentives are planned for students meeting their Accelerated Reading goals. Please encourage at home reading and take time to listen to your child read aloud, read to them, and ask questions about the book. This will help make sure that your child is about to participate in Accelerated Reading parties as well as recieve certificates and incentives. It is our goal at Barkdull Faulk Elementary that each class becomes a Carmel Hill Champion Classroom as well as our school being recognized as Champions. It is my personal goal to foster a love of reading in each student that enters my library and create a welcoming environment to help them learn.
