I will always be a teacher; however, I am now educating students from a different classroom and role. I am honored and grateful to have been given the opportunity to currently serve as Principal.

Dr. Brent Vidrine, Superintendent of Monroe City Schools once asked administrators to examine their attitude towards leadership by answering the following question: Would you place your child in your class or the school where you serve as Principal? My answer then and now: yes. I would place my child in my classroom ( Minnie Ruffin) without any hesitation. Today if that same question is asked, without hesitation, I would respond- I would send my child to the school where I now serve as Principal. I love being apart of the educational process and I am actively involved because I care! My daily reminder:
