Discipline Plan:
Every student in our Prekindergarten classroom has a right to learn and enjoy school. The following is a guideline for the Discipline Plan used in the classroom.
Classroom Rules:
1. I listen when others are talking.
2. I follow directions.
3. I keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself.
4. I work quietly and do not disturb others.
5. I show respect for school and personal property.
6. I work and play in a safe manner.
Consequences:
1. The first time a student breaks a rule he/she is given a verbal warning by stating the rule.
2. The second time a student breaks a rule he/she is moved within the group, possibly closer to the teacher.
3. The third time a student breaks a rule he/she is separated from the group until he/she can return to the group without disrupting. Parents will be contacted.
4. If a student exhibits severe misbehavior such as fighting, bullying, or major disruption, he/she will be sent to the office. A discipline referral form will be completed, along with a conference with the administration, and parents will be contacted.
Positive Consequences:
Students who demonstrate proper behavior will be reminded with immediate verbal acknowledgement.
