Spelling Words:   List them

Math Facts: List them

Handwriting: Letter of the week: Hh   (words to practice with this letter: Henry, horse, hen, house, etc....Sentence Henry put the worm on the fishing hook. 

 

Suggested daily schedule for parents    ** times are just a suggestion

9:00-9:30 Complete an Reading IReady lesson (some lessons may be longer than a half an hour have student complete one)

9:30-9:45 Watch a GoNoodle video (or break time)  **GoNoodle is a free website the kids enjoy.  The website is www.gonoodle.com

9:45-10:15 Read a book (or watch a video of a book--list book video links)

10:15-10:30 Handwriting

10:30-10:45 Spelling

10:45-11:15 Complete a Math IReady lesson

11:15-12:00 Lunch break

12:00-12:10 Math facts Practice

12:10-12:20 Recess 

12:20-12:30 Science (Monday only could be watch video; Tuesday-do experiment; Social Studies-Wednesday and Thursday-can assign a video or have them review a powerpoint or study vocabulary)

12:30-12:45 Journal--Can put a suggested journal topic for the week to be completed on Friday.  

 

Suggested activities that you can choose to have your child do for the following.  Mix it up.  They don't have to do all activities.  Pick and choose the ones you want them to do. 

Spelling- Write words 5 times each.  Give your child a pretest and post test.  Have child make flash cards with words.  Have them write words in chalk.  Write words with crayons.  Write words in sentences.  

Math facts-Make flash cards.    Kids can make a word problem using the fact.  Give a timed pretest and post test.  Write math facts. 

Handwriting-Can practice writing on notebook paper or on dry erase board.
