What is ‘Toula Cares Builders Club?
We are a community service club affiliated with Key Club and sponsored by Ponchatoula Kiwanis. We participate in service projects to benefit our campus and the community in which we live.
The purpose of this club is to:

To serve the community within our school

To serve the community within our city

To act as positive leaders and role models within our school.

To spread compassion, community spirit, and joy wherever we go.
Expectations and Eligibility

Membership shall be open to students who display strong, positive leadership, compassion, and good behavior. Students must maintain positive behavior while on and off campus. Members may not be suspended, involved in bullying, or demonstrate disrespect to authority. Members must follow parish,school, and classroom rules.

Students will be expected to attend one to two meetings after school each month and must provide their own transportation after the meeting.

Members will be expected to participate in events that are after school hours and on the weekends.

Students will be expected to participate in community service projects and fundraisers.

Two letters of recommendation from any two adult leaders within the community are required. These letters can be from coaches, teachers, youth directors, employers, or principals. Letters should tell examples of your positive attitude, good behavior, and your work ethic. Family members can not write the letters. Teachers from this school year can not recommend you because they have not had time to get to know you.

Letters of recommendation and applications for membership must be submitted to Mrs. Derks (Room 305), or Mrs. Haist (Room 302) no later than noon on September 1, 2023.

Thirty members will be selected. Those who are selected will need to pay the $25.00 membership fee by September 9, 2023. Included with membership, members will receive a T-Shirt.

Students not following school or club expectations will be removed from the club without refund of membership fee.
