HOMEWORK INFORMATION:
Reading for 20 minutes is ALWAYS homework!!!!! Students should have their library AR books with them at school every day and at home every night. Please see your child's agenda for information on their AR goals for each trimester (12 week period) and descriptions of what each certification goal entails.
Math homework is given Mon. through Thurs. and is the corresponding workbook page to the lesson we completed in class that day. On days when we have taken a test in class, homework is usually writing times tables. Students are also expected to take time each day to study multiplication tables.
CURRICULUM INFORMATION:
MATH: We will be working on Ch. 5 Use Multiplication Facts. It is vital that students have multiplication in their working memory and can recall the facts instantly, instead of counting on fingers. At this point, we expect students to have memorized up to the 12's. Mixed, timed quizzes will be every Friday. During quizzes, students are given 4 seconds per problem; ie. 30 questions would require 2 minutes of time to complete.
