Reminders: 

  •  About Me Bag: To help us get to know each other, please have your child bring in a small “ME” Bag with a few items that tell us a little about them, such as a favorite book, picture, souvenir, or small item they enjoy. We will not begin sharing on the first day, so you may start sending bags in on Wednesday, 9/9.
  • Family Picture: Please send in or email a family picture (5x7 or smaller). During Back to School Night, you’ll write an encouraging note to accompany the picture, which will be displayed on our “You Are Loved” bulletin board all year.
  •  Open House- September 4th from 10-11
  • Back to School Night- September 16th from 6:00-7:45. The Kindergarten presentation will be from 7:15-7:45. 

Dismissal:

  • If you plan to pick up your child from school or they will be leaving early, please submit the change through PowerSchool or call the Main Office directly.
  • If your child will be absent, please submit the absence through PowerSchool. If you experience any difficulty using PowerSchool, please call or email the Main Office.

Specials: 

Monday: PE & Music

Tuesday: PE

Wednesday: PE

Thursday: PE&Art

Friday: Library/Tech

Please make sure your student wears sneakers on days we have PE and return library books on Fridays.

 

Snack & Recess:

  • We have a morning snack each day for approximately 10 minutes. Please do not send snacks containing nuts.
  • A reusable, leakproof water bottle is recommended each day. Students may use the water filling station as needed.
  • We will go outside for recess daily, weather permitting. Please dress your child appropriately for the weather.

 

Birthdays: 

  • Birthdays will be celebrated in class with a certificate, crown, pencil, and a fun birthday song and dance.
  • Your child will also be recognized by the Main Office during the morning announcements.
  • Food items are not permitted for birthdays.
  • Parents are welcome to visit the classroom and read to the class for their child’s birthday.
  • Birthday party invitations may be distributed at school, provided all classmates are invited.
