Welcome to Our Classroom

Welcome to Madison James Foster Elementary School!

My name is Elijah Mendoza, and I am honored to serve as the Special Education (SPED) Inclusion Teacher for 3rd and 5th Grade students. I am excited to partner with students, families, teachers, and staff to help every child achieve success both academically and personally.

I have been an educator for seven years and am passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. I earned my degrees from Louisiana Tech University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I developed a strong foundation in education, student support, and instructional strategies designed to meet diverse learning needs.

As an Inclusion Teacher, my role is to ensure that students receiving special education services have access to the general education curriculum while receiving the accommodations and modifications necessary for their success. I work closely with classroom teachers, families, administrators, and support staff to provide individualized instruction, encourage student growth, and foster independence.

Throughout the school year, students will receive support in their core academic subjects, including reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. My goal is to help students build confidence in their abilities, strengthen their academic skills, and develop important life skills such as responsibility, perseverance, and self-advocacy. I firmly believe that every child can learn and grow when provided with the appropriate support, encouragement, and opportunities.

I am fortunate to be assisted by our dedicated paraprofessional, Ms. Walker, who works alongside me to support students in meeting their educational goals. Together, we strive to create a positive, nurturing environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

At Madison James Foster Elementary, we recognize that education is most successful when there is a strong partnership between school and home. I encourage open communication and collaboration with families throughout the school year. By working together, we can ensure that each student receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am truly excited about the opportunities this school year will bring and look forward to celebrating the achievements and growth of our students. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. We are committed to making this a successful, rewarding, and memorable year for every student.

Together, we can help every child grow, learn, and reach their highest potential.

Sincerely,

Elijah Mendoza
