Mrs. Stein´s 5th Grade ELA
Welcome to a new, exciting new year in 5th grade!
The Guidebook novel units we will study together are rigorous and extremely interesting.
We will learn about Native Americans in The Birchbark House, conflicts of good and evil in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, as well as taking a look at life in the early 1900s in America in Shutting Out the Sky. ELA curriculum website https://louisianacurriculumhub.com/grade-5
Together we will become experts at Google Classroom. We will use The Writing Revolution to become great writers. By the end of the year, students will read, understand and express their understanding of complex text in speaking and writing.
