The main objective of Teaching Strategies GOLD is to provide a research-based, ongoing observational assessment system for early childhood education (birth through third grade) that helps teachers document children's learning and development to inform instruction and individualized learning plans. By capturing in-the-moment observations, GOLD helps teachers understand what children know and can do, allowing them to individualize instruction, choose and adapt activities, and engage families to support the child's development.
