About Me
Hello! My name is Emily Hochenedel and I teach 2nd grade Science and Social Studies at Roy N. Shelling Elementary School. I am a product of Monroe City Schools, and graduated from Neville High School in 2018. I recieved my Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2023. I am very excited to begin my first year teaching at Roy N. Shelling Elementary!

My philosophy of education is that all children deserve an engaging educational environment that meets their diverse needs. It is my mission to create a classroom that is safe and supportive, so that children can collaborate effectively to learn new skills and content. I will support the diverse needs of students with hands-on learning, technology, and small group activities.
