Welcome to 5th Grade ELA!
Welcome to the new school year! My name is Mrs. Garrison-Price, and I am thrilled to be your child’s 5th-grade English Language Arts teacher.
Our district theme this year is "Going for the Goal!" In our classroom, we are lace-up ready to take on that challenge. We view reading and writing as dynamic skills that improve with practice, teamwork, and determination. Every student in this classroom is a valuable player on our roster, and together, we will celebrate every individual breakthrough as we drive toward our academic targets.
🍎 Meet Your Coach (About Me)
To give you a little background on your child's ELA coach this year:
- Experience: I am proudly stepping into my 4th year of teaching! I love helping upper elementary students discover the joy of reading and find the true power of their own unique writing voices.
- Education: I hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (Go Warhawks! 🐾). I love bringing strong communication skills right into our daily reading and writing lessons.
- Outside the Classroom: My favorite and most important roles are being a wife and a mother. When I am not teaching, I absolutely love eating delicious food and spending high-quality, meaningful time with my family.
Education is a team sport. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure your child scores big and achieves their personal best this year!
👟 Let's kick off a fantastic year and score those goals! 👟
