🌻 Room 104 Daily Schedule🌻

 

  • 7:45 Teacher Arrival 

    • Teacher preps for the day

  • Checks emails 

  • 8:30 Student Arrival 

    • Students come in and unpack 

    • Wash hands 

  • 8:35-8:50 Breakfast 

    • If the child chooses not to eat breakfast, they can get a book and go to the carpet and read 

    • Later in the year, they will practice writing their names 

  • 8:50-9:00 Bathroom

    • Students will be encouraged to use the bathroom before we transition to Gross Motor Time 

  • 9:00-10:00

    • If the weather permits, we will go outdoors 

    • If the weather does not permit, we will do activities in the classroom

      • Danny Go, Controlled centers

      • There is also time set aside for the gym (Thanks Mr. Smith!)

  • 10:05-10:20 Large Group 

    • Good Morning song 

    • Go over question of the day that relates to study 

  • 10:20-10:30 Read Aloud

    • The book for this read aloud relates to the study and will have questions embedded in it.

  • 10:30-10:45 Small Group 

    • Here we will work in smaller groups with the children to work on specific math and literacy skills. This is where the data for conferences and report cards will be taken. 

  • 10:45-11:20 Choice Time

    • This is when students will be able to pick a center to play in. 

    • They must make sure the center is not full by looking at the faces that are posted in the center

    • If the center is full, they must pick another center and when they are finished in the center they must clean up before leaving. 

  • 11:20-11:30 Cot Set Up 

    • Children will be called to set out their rest time cot. They will put the cot in their spot and make their cot with their bedding.

  • 11:30-12:00 Lunch  

    • Children will wash hands and eat lunch.

    • After they finish, they will pack their backpacks.

    •  They will go to the bathroom and go to their cots

  • 12:10-1:10 Rest Time 

    • Children are required to stay on their cot. They do not have to nap. They go to the bathroom before rest so unless it is an emergency they stay on their cots. 

  • 12:20-1:20 Rest time 

    • Children are required to stay on their cot. They do not have to nap. They go to the bathroom before rest so unless it is an emergency they stay on their cots. 

  • 1:20-1:50 Limited choice

    • Students will have time to pick centers in the afternoon but only a limited amount of centers will be available

  • 1:55-2:10 Large Group Roundup 

    • Children will get ready for dismissal and sit on the carpet

    • We will go over the events of the day and discuss tomorrow 

  • 2:15 Dismissal 

    • Children will be walked to their car, their parent, or the bus by teachers or administration
