I believe that music is a core mechanic in the development in students; academically, emotionally, and personally. Music impacts all of our lives in some sort of way, and speaks with us on a deeper level that we cannot always explain. It is a form of personal expression, and through the performance of music in band, orchestra, choir, theater, or any other musical medium, allows us to express ourselves in ways that we otherwise are unable to do. I believe every student deserves, and needs some sort of music education in their lives.
