Welcome to Second Grade! 

 

Dear Parents & Families, 

 

Welcome to a brand new school year! My name is Miss Katie Gray, and I am so excited to be your child's 2nd grade teacher  at Kossmann School this year. I feel incredibly honored to have the opportunity to be a part of your child's educational journey, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about what you can expect in our classroom. 

 

First and foremost, please know that I will do my very best each and every day to love, care for, and teach your child. I believe that every child is unique, capable, and full of potential, and it is my goal to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. 

 

Our classroom will be a place where your child feels seen, heard, and valued. We'll work hard, celebrate growth, and have a lot of fun along the way. I'm passionate about building strong relationships with both students and families, because I believe that teamwork between home and school is essential to a child's success. 

 

Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or just to check in. I truly look forward to getting to know you and your child better as we navigate this year together.

About Me - Miss Gray

This will be my 8th year of teaching, and my 3rd year at Flocktown-Kossmann school. I love it here and I am so excited get to teach 2nd Grade this year. All my teaching years have been in first grade (because it's the best!), but I can't wait to dive into 2nd. I am from a very small town in Pennsylvania but I have been living in Flemington, New Jersey for the past six years. I live with my significant other, Chris, our son Beckham and our cat, Remi. In my free time, I love to spend time outdoors in the sunshine! I also love to use my cricut cutting machine to make projects like t-shirts and stickers! My favorite thing about 2nd grade is how much you all love learning and growing your minds/independence throughout the school year! I cannot wait for us to have so much fun together this year! 

 

  

 

FKS Walk Through/Meet the Teacher

I am so looking forward to meeting you in person at the FKS Walk Through. You can drop by August 27th from 11am-12pm to see the classroom and your teacher! Plan to be here for around 10 minutes or so. 

 

When you come, please bring with you all your new school supplies so we can get things organized and ready for the first day of school. Don’t forget to label your belongings (first and last!). Since supplies are shared, you will not need to label those.  

 

Please let me know if you will not be able to attend so we can arrange to send you the items that will be passed out on that day.
