Dear Parents and Guardians, 

 

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to second grade at Flocktown-Kossmann School! I am looking forward to working together to make this a year filled with growth, discovery, and significance. A successful learning experience is built on a cooperative effort between parent, child, and teacher. Please don't ever hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

 

One of my priorities as your child's teacher is to foster independence, as well as support social-emotional and academic success. In second grade, students will work on building skills independently as well as collaboratively! 

 

We will be hosting a walk through on Wednesday August 28. You and your child are welcome to come familiarize yourself with our school, classroom, and get an opportinity to meet me, as well as some other classmates and families. If you purchased school supplies for your child over the summer, you can bring them that day! You do not need to worry about labeling anything, except for your child's headphones! I hope to see you there! The first day of school is Thursday, August 29

 

We are going to have a wonderful year in second grade. I look forward to working with all of you to support your child's success!

I love to celebrate student birthdays! Though we are not able to have any class celebrations or pass out treats, I invite families to come into the classroom for a special birthday read aloud on or around your child's birthday. Just send me an email a few days prior to schedule a time!
