I work for several schools in Monroe City as a Gifted Teacher - including Barkdull Faulk, Cypress Point, and Sallie Humble Elementary. I travel to each school to teach the best and the brightest.
Gifted students make up an important part of every school, but most go unseen because of lack of testing. I hope to discover more talented minds and give them individualized attention to boost their grades and work ethic. Help me in this journey! Reach out to your students teacher and request testing and work with your students at home to boost reading comprehension and vocabulary.
Another passion of mine is after-school tutoring at Barkdull Faulk where I can reach more students. Here, I try to focus on their weaknesses and make them their strengths! Each student has success inside them, some just need help to realize it!
Connecting with more students at BFE is the goal! School should be a sactuary for students. Not somewhere that they don't want to me. In the wise words of one of our first grade students, "School isn't for whippings. It's for learning and becoming more smarter!!"
