Expectations:
-
It is important to come to class on time every day. This means you are in your seat and working on the warm up when the bell rings. Being late will result in lunch detentions.
-
It is important to come prepared for class every day. You will need your one-inch binder (for math only), a pencil, your chromebook, agenda, and your homework. You will not be permitted to go to your locker to get these things once class has started.
-
Daily warm up activities are to be completed when you enter the classroom. The warm up will be given to you as you walk in. When you enter the room, get your homework ready to be checked and begin working on your warm up. If there is no warm up displayed, sit quietly and await directions.
Be respectful of your teacher as well as all your classmates. Put downs, hurtful comments or actions will not be tolerated. No one will be allowed to disrupt the learning process for other students. Think before you act.
Homework will be checked daily. Assignments will be posted in google classroom. Nightly homework will be accepted late, but only for partial credit. You will lose one point everyday it is late. Each day a long term assignment is late it is lowered one letter grade. Be sure to complete all assignments on time.
Absent:
If you are absent for any reason, (class trips, illness, band, chorus, etc.) it is your responsibility to make up the classwork and homework for that day. You will have one day to make up the work for every one day of illness. If you are absent due to a school activity other than illness, you must make up the work on the same day. (In other words, get the work before you go, not after.) If you are absent on the day of an assigned quiz or test, you will make it up the day you return. However, if class is missed on the day of a quiz due to a school activity, arrangements for makeup should be made before class. You may not miss class due to a school activity on the day of an announced test.
Extra Help:
Extra help will be helped on Thursday mornings from 8:40-9:05. Please let Mrs. Osborne know if you plan on attending. You are expected to bring specific questions and your math supplies.
Extra Help is designed to be a student directed question and answer session, not a teacher taught review of all concepts. Based on the number of attendees, students may be asked to review concepts or solve practice problems in small groups to utilize their time efficiently.
