I hope everyone had a nice Easter and enjoyed the break. It's hard to believe we're approaching the last weeks of the school year. This week we will be exploring signs of spring and Wednesday we will be going birdwatching. If your child has a pair of child friendly binoculars they would like to bring in please feel free to do so. I have extra and we will be sharing so please do not purchase anything.
We are so excited for our classtrip to Barnstormers on 5/7! Our class will be in group A along with Mrs. McGill's class and we will meet at Barnstormers at 8:50am. Our session will start promptly at 9:00am. The children will not attend school this day and each child is required to have a parent or guardian in attendance.
If you would like to meet before the end of the school year please reach out to me this week so we can schedule a day and time. Typically I am available at preschool drop off and pick up.
Our classroom is in need of clorox wipes and would appreciate any donations! In addition, if anyone is spring cleaning and you have gently used toys, books or puzzles, you are looking to part with please think of our classroom! We are always looking for "new" items to share with the children.
Thank you for everything you do!!!
a reminder children should come to school with a separate snack and lunch. Lunch stays in their cubbies and snack is placed in the teal bin on top of the cubbies. We are trying to avoid children having to go into their lunch and pick out a snack or bacpacks to find their snacks. In addition if your child packs something that requires a spoon or fork please provide utensils. Of course things come up and sometimes we forget, but if 4 or 5 children need utensils everyday we run out of them quite quickly. Lastly, it might be helpful if your child drinks alot of water throughout the day to pack 2 water bottles (one that comes into the classroom and one in their lunch bags). I will fill up their water bottles whenever they need, however, it is not always possible for us to fill their waters at the filtered stations because that requires us to leave the classroom. So often times they have to be filled from the sink in our classroom which the children do not prefer.
As always, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns
***PLEASE NOTE***
If your child stays for extended care he/she must have a separate DISPOSABLE snack in a brown paper bag. If your child does not stay regularly or attends on sporadic days, please send a note in the morning letting me know they will be staying.
Please check the show and tell tab on this page for your child's scheduled show and tell day.
Reminders:
1. Backpacks labled with your child's name placed in cubby
2. Snack in ziplock bag labled and placed in Snack bin outside classroom
3. Lunch box with 2 napkins inside
Please be sure your child is sent to school with a lunch he/shes can finish. I also ask you send them with 2 napkins (one to be used as a placemat the other to be used at the end of lunch) Please avoid ordering lunch from the cafeteria in the begining of the year. We are trying to set your child up for success and familiarity helps us to create a comfortable and set routine for the children.
We plan on going outside everyday for recess. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Closed toe shoes are required.
Please reach out to me anytime. I'm happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. My email is listed at the top of this page.
Looking forward to a great year!
