August 2023

Dear Future Third Grader,

Hello! My name is Miss Muni. I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I hope you are enjoying your summer. I am looking forward to starting school and will be sure to make it a wonderful experience for you. I have been very busy getting our classroom ready for an amazing year together. We will be learning many new things, meeting new friends, and having a lot of fun!

I live in Robbinsville with my dog, Ellie (you'll hear lots about her)! This is my second year as a Toll Gate third grade teacher. Some of my favorite things about teaching are STEM projects, crafts, and math games. I always try to make learning fun and meaningful!

Did you have a nice summer? Mine was busy spending time with family, friends, and my puppy, Ellie. I went to Disney World in June where I enjoyed the Florida weather and rode all of my favorite rides! I also visited Holden Beach, North Carolina with my family where I spent a lot of time on the beach enjoying some good books!

This year our classroom will be located in Room 204. You will have a locker to put your belongings in. Most of your supplies are already prepared for you, but I have added a few additional items below that will help make this transition back to school more smooth. Please be sure you bring these items on your first day of school:

  • 1-3 pictures of your family, friends, or pets to put on display in the classroom on our "fridge"
  • Anything you would like to decorate your lockers with such as pictures, magnets, etc (No stickers please because those are hard to get off!)

  • Your backpack

  • A water bottle with a straw top (a water bottle where the top does not need to be opened fully removed to drink)

  • A snack each day. Your snack should be nut free. Please make sure your snack is separated from your lunch.

  • A pair of comfortable headphones

  • A BIG SMILE for your teacher!

Are you planning on going to the Last Splash event on August 31st?  I hope to meet you there. If you cannot make it, that is okay! The first day of school is Thursday, September 7th and that is not too far away.

Check out these slides (Meet Miss Muni) to get to know me a bit more before our first day.

Please take some time to complete this questionnaire, so I can get to know you better before our first day!

Enjoy the rest of your summer. See you soon! My students mean SO much to me and I am so happy to have you in my class!

Lots of love,

Miss Muni
