Dear All Star,

 

I am so excited to welcome you to a new school year!  I will be one of your teachers at Stony Brook this year and I can’t wait to get to know you!  I’m looking forward to an exciting year as we expand our learning, try new things, and have lots of fun!

 

This is my second year at Stony Brook, and third year teaching in HVRSD.  I have been a special education teacher for many years after graduating from The College of New Jersey in 2006, and later receiving my master’s degree from Kean University.  I have taught preschool through fifth grade!

 

I hope that you had a fun, relaxing, and memorable summer!  I spent the summer enjoying time with my family.  We like going to the beach, swimming in the pool, exploring nature, traveling to new places, and having lazy days at home.  One of my favorite summer memories was riding on the big ferris wheel in Wildwood!  I hope that in a few weeks you will share some of your favorite summer memories with me!

 

I can’t wait to meet you all and get to know you better.  Our first day of school together will be Tuesday, September 2nd and it is a full day of school.
