- Esperanza Rising AR test (read aloud) (50 points) and 6 AR points for 2nd 9 weeks!
-CWT narrative planning
-CWT typing and submission (100 points)
10/13 - 10/17
FALL BREAK
10/6 - 10/10
- Begin STAR Test
- Complete star test/Begin Avocadoes and Asparagus Assessment (100 points)
- Complete assessment and type the narrative we completed on 10/1 (50 points - already completed, just typing and submitting)
- Lexia/Make up day (Tiger Trot day!)
Friday - Virtual day assignment: 30 point grade

**MCSB Progress Monitoring Assessment scheduled for 9/16 is still not available to be administered. Once it is given, I will let you know since it is a grade.**
-Analyze previously read excerpts from Esperanza Rising
-Explain how characters advance plot and develop irony
-Read The Gift of the Magi
- 25 point quiz on The Gift of the Magi (Tuesday)
- 50 point narrative continuation from Jim or Della's pov  (Tuesday and Wednesday)
- Make connections of lessons learned for characters from both texts
