Welcome:

 

My name is Mrs. Weierich. I am excited about this school year and look forward to working with your child. I will be teaching your child language arts and/or social studies ICR and LLD. My love for reading and writing began when I was in middle school. My goal is for your child to feel the same way by the end of the year! 

 

Teaching Philosophy:

 

Teaching is never one size fits all.  I believe good teaching is about the content and lessons. I believe excellent teaching is about building relationships with students, in a safe and nurturing environment. I believe students are able to learn to the best of their ability when they feel comfortable asking questions or asking for help. I NEVER expect perfection. I want to see your child improve their skills and work to the best of their ability. 

 

A little about me:

 

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I attended Rowan University to obtain my Bachelor's in Writing Arts and Public Relations. A few months after graduating, I graduated from school at Arcadia University where I received my Masters in Special Education. I have been living in New Jersey for about six years. This has been a challenge because I am a huge Eagles fan.

This will be my eighth year teaching middle school and I absolutely love it! Please tell me anything I should know about your child in the attached paper. I would love to hear about their interests such as hobbies, goals, and learning styles. Communication is essential to me and I value your opinion.
