Drawbridges Teacher

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year, and to my website!
I am a special education co-teacher who will be working with
your child to develop the skills they will need to succeed in school and in life. WNYMS uses a resource consultation / collaboration model called Drawbridges, which provides services for special education students / students with disabilities in one or more areas within the general education classroom.
As part of this program, I collaborate with Language Arts,
Social Studies, Science, and Math teachers to provide your
child with the best education possible, occasionally teaching
them in my separate classroom for additional review or independent work.
My services include:
- Monitoring students' progress
- Assisting general education teachers with teaching skills or concepts in class.
- Working together with teachers to ensure students are receiving instruction consistent with their special needs.
- Modifying assignments and tests given by instructors and accommodating the classroom environment to suit students' needs.
- Arranging appointments with students to assist them with academic or behavioral issues, as well as breaking down assignments into manageable steps.
- Providing academic and behavioral support to students according to their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Writing and updating student IEPs, and consulting with parents and the WNYMS child study team on student behavior and progress during IEP meetings.
