Welcome to Third Grade!
I am thrilled to introduce myself as your child’s teacher for the upcoming academic year. With 25 years of teaching experience under my belt, I have had the privilege of working primarily with third-grade students, as well as teaching first and second grade in the past. These years of experience have allowed me to develop an in-depth understanding of the unique needs and developmental milestones of students in these age groups, and I am excited to bring that expertise to the classroom.
I am delighted to mention that this will be my fourth year at Truman, and I cannot express enough how much I have enjoyed being part of this vibrant and nurturing educational community. For two years, I served as a replacement ASI Reading teacher, which has given me valuable insights into individualized instruction and a deep appreciation for the importance of literacy in a child’s educational journey.
To further enhance my teaching skills, I have been taking classes at St. Peter's University focusing specifically on reading intervention. I firmly believe that ongoing professional development is crucial in staying up-to-date with the latest educational practices, and I am committed to continuously improving my teaching strategies to ensure the best learning experience for your child.
I am genuinely excited about working with you and your child this year. Together, we will embark on a fun-filled learning journey that will not only promote academic growth but also foster a love for learning and exploration. I believe that education should be engaging, inclusive, and tailored to the unique needs of each student, and I am dedicated to creating a classroom environment that nurtures every child’s individual strengths and challenges them to reach their full potential.
Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year. Open communication and collaboration between home and school are of utmost importance to me, as it ensures that we are working together to provide the best possible education for your child.
Once again, I am thrilled to be part of your child’s educational journey this year and look forward to a year filled with growth, laughter, and exciting discoveries.
