Guidelines for Mr. Collier’s Mathematics Classes

  1. Assignment Headings – THIS IS REQUIRED AND ESSENTIAL – Each student must record his/her name, seat number and block number in its required space.
  2.  Every day you must complete your bell work…YOU MUST write your name and desk number at the top of your paper.  These will be checked periodically and graded on completion, neatness, & accuracy.
  3.  Turn work in on time.  (If absent, it is your responsibility to turn in work you missed within the number of days you were out.  Make up days will be posted. )
  4.  I will make myself available for test/work make-up, and any questions that may arise throughout the semester.  This will be done during your lunch shift.
  5. Take your notebook home each day and review your material.  Learn to become resourceful and keep up with the work.  You will always have at least two days notice before a major test.  If you keep up with your material, the test will be easy and you will be very successful.
  6. Test/quizzes will have to be made up during class unless other arrangements are made.  You will be responsible for catching yourself up on material missed while your are taking the test…
  7.  Grade averages will be computed periodically and given to the student.  You will know where you stand in my class, it will not be kept secret from you.  If you must absolutely know your grade at any time, you may come see me before/after school or during my off hour.
  8. Any material turned in late will automatically receive a deduction in the grade by 10% of the total possible score.  Deadlines are HARD deadlines and there are few if any excuses.
  9.  YOUR grade is up to YOU and YOU alone!  I DO NOT offer “extra credit”.  If YOU do your work correctly the first time, YOU will not find YOURSELF in a position of need.
