Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! My name is Ms. Shantrese Roussell, and I am excited to be part of the GMMS family. I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
This school year, I am looking forward to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and challenged to reach their fullest potential. I believe that all students can learn and grow when they are provided with high expectations, encouragement, meaningful opportunities, and the support they need to succeed.
In my classroom, students can expect learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, perseverance, and academic growth. I strive to make learning meaningful while preparing students for success on classroom assessments, LEAP, and future grade levels.
My goal for the 2026–2027 school year is simple: help every student believe, achieve, and succeed!
I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to partnering with students, families, and our school community to make this a successful and memorable school year.
