Señorita Ta'Lynn Belle

Ponchatoula High School

Spanish I & II

Introduction:

¡Hola estudiantes y padres! (Hello students and parents!). My name is Ms. Belle or as said in Spanish class, Señorita Belle. While this is my second year as a teacher here at PHS, I am no stranger to the school! Many may recognize me from 2021 school year, as I took over the last three months of school teaching a former teachers Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 courses. It was then that I found a school to call my home! This year I am back at PHS and more excited to see what the school year has in store!

I began learning Spanish as early as middle school, and later, I  would study World Langauges with a concentration in Spanish and minor in Biology at Southeastern Louisiana University. If you hadn't noticed by my career choice, I am all about Spanish!!! I enjoy teaching and seeing the development that students can make from their intial language learning experience to their final 'Adios' in spanish class. While I understand some may view this class as just an elective, I am a strong believer that learning other languages and cultures can be extremely beneficial to not only the indivdual, but the community as well. In this class, no one should be afraid to make mistakes; mistakes are part of learning! I am BIG on classroom participation, and encourage students to give their best attempt when all else fails.
